Bailey clips:

Bailey just couldn't decide whether to laugh or to cry! She loved my friend Ashley Webb...or did she?

February-April 2011

A lot has happened in the last couple months!
Bailey's growing a ton (some of my favorite pictures are below), my mom was in the hospital but is currently healthy and feels like it never happened (also pictures below), we took Bailey camping for the first time, and Devin's grandparents from England came to visit.
Other than that, I work two days a week, Devin's doing full-time school, we're loving the Spring weather, and we're looking forward to a wonderful summer!
  She loves bath-time!
She's got a pretty strong suck...
I love the rolls on her thighs! If only this was cute on us when we're older, right?

Who does Bailey look like?
Johnny Jump-up. We actually got it for a quarter at a yard sale.
Mom in the hospital, and 1 week later...doesn't she look good?

Here's Devin with his grandpa Joe from England, and his little brother, James

Bailey is about 5 months, and we started her on the rice cereal. It's quite a messy ordeal, so we're going to stick to giving it in a bottle for a bit longer.

Here are some pictures from our first camping trip with Bailey...Topaz Mountain.
We bundled her really well at night:

Pregnancy and the Delivery

This is me the day before I was getting induced...November 15th, 2010.
Devin and I went to the hospital at 4pm on the 16th, and I was on Pitocin (the drug to induce labor) by 5pm. I got my epidural around 8 pm, and just after we finished watching Cast Away I started progressing a lot. Our little Bailey Jane was born at 12:22am on the 17th. Everything went great. She was 21'' long and weighed 7 lbs 11 oz. Here are a few shots...

We needed to have her under the bilirubin lights because of her jaundice, but we chose to take home the contraption. She looked like a little avatar.

So little!

Yosemite 2010

Our last big trip before having a baby was to Yosemite National Park, in California. It was a long road trip, but we listened to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and loved it. A few times we found we were WAY over-speeding on the freeway when we were at an intense part of the book. I won't say how fast...

This is how we felt after our first night of camping (remember that I was 6 months pregnant at the time). We couldn't find a campground by nightfall and ended up pulling onto a dirt road off the side of the highway, and setting up a tent. It was an awful night. Creepy noises of howling animals I've never heard before left us looking like this all night.
We were pretty roughed up. When it started to get a little bit light, we saw that we
were about 100 yards from a house. We had parked and camped on someone's property! We tossed everything into the car and got out fast.
Here we are at the park!
A bear went through our camp...we could hear it walking through that night, and brush up against our tent.

 We hiked to Nevada falls...
And here is a clip from the top of a really high viewpoint (forgot the name). Anyway,
my finger points to the waterfall that is pictured above. It was gorgeous.
One of the highlights of the trip was definitely Highway 121 (I think that's the one). We felt like we were on a roller coaster and were laughing so hard.

December 2009

Here we are on our honeymoon...we went to Costa Rica and had a blast! It is such a beautiful country.
The highlights of our trip were whitewater rafting and the adventure of finding an LDS church branch to attend. We didn't have this camera on our rafting trip, but below is a picture of the church members and the house we met in to worship. We didn't understand much (language barrier), but we felt of their love, their faith, and felt the spirit. It was such a neat experience!

Our Beginnings 2009

Here we are! Devin and I were buddies in high school and beyond, but fell in-love and dated when he returned from the 2-year mission he served for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This is us right before our first kiss :)
We married in the Mt. Timpanogos temple on December 17th, 2009, for time and all eternity. We are so grateful that through the blessings of the temple we can be together forever.
Here is my wonderful family, the Johansens and Coats (Lindsey's married name),
and below are my wonderful in-laws, the Burns.
